Textiles: Braids and Decorative Cords

Julie Hedges is an experienced weaver, braidmaker and teacher who has been researching the technique of Ply-Split Braiding since 1989.
She makes wearable and sculptural pieces mainly in linen and cotton yarn, much of which she dyes herself. She has exhibited and sold work in the UK, Europe and USA.

Julie teaches workshops in Ply-Splitting and designing decorative cords in the UK and has also taught in India.
