About Julie Hedges

Julie designs and makes wearable and sculptural pieces working in the technique of ply-split braiding. The importance of yarn selection and use of colour in relation to structure is vital to her work. She has exhibited and sold her work in Europe and USA, and works to commission. Julie gives talks and workshops and published a book ‘Ply-Split Braiding’ in 2006.
